Parliament Speaker Anita Among Urges MPs to Avoid Cheap Accommodation in Rwanda for EAC Games
The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has issued a warning to Members of Parliament (MPs) regarding their accommodation choices during the upcoming East African Community (EAC) games in Kigali, Rwanda. Among emphasized that all participating MPs have been granted an allowance of up to $720, equivalent to sh2.7 million per day, to cover their expenses, including accommodation.
Addressing the MPs, Among encouraged them to represent Uganda with discipline and responsibility. She stressed that it is unacceptable for MPs to receive such a generous allowance and opt for cheap accommodation priced at $20 per night.
