Katleho Kaula, known on stage as Katz Wa 2Pa, is a DJ and producer in the amapiano genre with a mission to bring youth together through his creative music.
At 27, Kaula has been a DJ for 14 years. His journey began with an interest in computers and music software, particularly Atomix, now Virtual DJ. “I started making music in 2021, striving to find my sound. Though initial attempts were challenging, I learned and adapted, coming back stronger,” he said.
Kaula’s music blends modern beats with the essence of amapiano, showcasing his versatility. He began learning music production in 2022, guided by a renowned artist. “I play primarily Amapiano but mix it with old-school house, deep house, and hip-hop. My upbringing around music inspired me to become a DJ and producer,” Kaula explained.
Influenced by artists like Mdu aka TRP, Kabza De Small, and MFR Souls, Kaula is currently collaborating with Soulcafe96 on several upcoming productions. He’s also working with DJs Kamzoro and Freshzinto on new mixes, including a vocal hit called “Masngena” featuring GD Man.
Kaula’s latest mix, Thupafication Edition 15, will be released on July 20 and available for streaming on YouTube. His goal is to spread joy and happiness through his music, uniting youth and uplifting spirits.
