Nabbanja Discusses Agri-Tech Support with Belarus at UN

Prime Minister Robina Nabbanja met with Belarus Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Yury Ambrazevich at the UN in New York to discuss deepening bilateral relations between Uganda and Belarus. During the meeting, Belarus expressed its willingness to support Uganda in advancing agricultural mechanization, which aligns with Uganda’s efforts to modernize its farming sector.

Nabbanja, accompanied by Justice Minister Nobert Mao and NPA Chair Prof. Pamela Mbabazi, praised the longstanding and robust ties between the two nations. She highlighted Belarus’ active participation in a recent summit held in Uganda, which further strengthened their collaboration.

Both sides agreed on the importance of enhancing economic cooperation and exploring new areas of partnership. The discussion also focused on future joint initiatives and the mutual benefits of the proposed agricultural support.
