Kitara Secure Another International Friendly

Uganda Cup winners Kitara will play Kenyan Premier League side Tusker in an international friendly match scheduled for Thursday, August 8, at Masindi stadium.

This will be the second international side the Royals will be playing, since visiting Mechal SC in Ethiopia, and beating them 2-0 at the Addis Ababa stadium last month.

The friendly match will of great importance to Kitara, testing their might before heading to their maiden CAF Confederations Cup encounter, against Libya’s Al Hilal SC Benghazi on August, 16.

The Brewers are a great matchup for the Royals, they finished second on the Kenya Premier League table last season.

Before the game Masindi stadium, Kitara have lined up other club activities, including presenting their league Cup trophy to their fans in Masindi at 12:00 pm.

The Brian Ssenyondo-coached side is also preparing for the return leg of the FUFA Super 8 tournament against KCCA on Tuesday at the MTN Omondi stadium. Omedi scored the lone goal for them to win 1-0 in the first leg.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan side will play two other friendlies in Uganda, including new UPL entrants on 10th August.
