Watch Highlights:

Nam Blazers secured a crucial victory over the KIU Titans on Thursday at Lugogo, forcing a decisive game five in their semifinal playoff series.

The Blazers, facing a must-win situation, triumphed with a final score of 75-68, keeping their season alive in dramatic fashion.

The game, however, did not start in the Blazers’ favor. They trailed 16-25 after the first quarter, struggling to keep pace with the Titans.

Coach Stephen ‘Esco’ Nyeko made key adjustments that proved pivotal from thereafter, notably substituting Michael Makiadi for Chuol Nyuot, who made an impactful contribution with 11 points.

Peter Cheng was the standout performer for the Blazers however, delivering a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds. Paul Odong also made significant contributions off the bench, adding 11 points to the scoreboard.

On the other side, the Titans had three players score in double digits—Joel Lukoji (19), Mpiya Juf (13), and Peter Obleng (11). However, their efforts were undermined by a poor rebounding performance, as they were out-rebounded 45-56.

Additionally, the Titans struggled with ball security, committing 20 turnovers, and their bench contributed just eight points compared to the Blazers’ impressive 38.

The Blazers, who were cheered on by a sizeable crowd, will hope to win a thrilling game five and reach the final where City Oilers who beat UCU, await.
