*KIU Titans Vs Nam Blazers (1-1) – 9pm

UCU Lady Canons will aim to reclaim their lead in the NBL playoff semifinals when they face the KIU Rangers in a pivotal Game 3 on Tuesday at Lugogo.

After a dominant 73-44 victory in Game 1, the Lady Canons were dealt a setback in Game 2, falling 54-51, allowing the Rangers to even the series on Sunday.

The Lady Canons started strong, leading 27-20 after the first quarter, but struggled to maintain their momentum as KIU mounted a second-half comeback.

The game was tightly contested, with the score tied at 49-49 in the final two minutes of the last quarter.

Ines Kanyamuneza hit a crucial three-pointer for KIU, but UCU responded with a layup from Aziidah Nabayunga to bring them within one point.

However, UCU’s hopes were dashed when they missed two consecutive shots, and Sharon Kirabo scored a floating jumper off an assist from Fildauce Namuleme, effectively securing the win for KIU.

The Lady Canons’ 22 turnovers proved costly, and they will need to address this issue if they hope to bounce back in Game 3.

Kanyamuneza led KIU with a game-high 17 points, continuing to step up in the absence of star player Rose Amaniyo, who missed her second consecutive game.

The series heads into its third installment, and Coach Nicholas Natuhereza will expect his Lady Canons side to sharpen their focus and execution to regain control and keep their championship hopes alive.
