21st Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, Visits Uganda to Explore Collaborations in Youth Empowerment and Sector Development

The 21st Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has embarked on a second-day visit to Uganda, arriving at Entebbe airport on Sunday evening. Accompanied by a distinguished entourage, the Nigerian royal received a warm welcome from Fabrice Rulinda, the Mayor of Entebbe municipality.
Rulinda emphasized the significance of Atuwatse III’s visit, highlighting the primary objective of exploring potential collaborations in training and capacity building for the youth within Uganda’s oil and gas industry. He stated, “We anticipate engaging in productive discussions to identify areas of cooperation, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships in value-added agriculture.”
Furthermore, the mayor disclosed that the royal delegate is scheduled to meet with high-level officials from both the government and private sector during the visit. “The Olu of Warri will hold meetings with officials to discuss opportunities in youth skill development, oil and gas, and agriculture,” Rulinda confirmed.
This visit, aimed at strengthening the ties between Nigeria and Uganda, signifies a significant step towards international collaboration across various sectors. Atuwatse III, known for his commitment to youth empowerment and community development, intends to extend this commitment to the Ugandan context.
As the discussions unfold, the Olu of Warri is expected to share insights and experiences from the Kingdom of Warri in the Delta State. The focus on youth skill development, along with initiatives in the oil and gas sector, aligns with Atuwatse III’s dedication to sustainable development and economic growth.
