Uganda Premier League (UPL) reigning champions SC Villa have added versatile attacker Francis Onekalit to their armory.
The former Vipers, Blacks Power and Ndejje forward joins the Jogoos on a three-year deal from new UPL entrants Police.
Onekalit can comfortably play anywhere across the frontline, like he did for the Cops last season, when they were crowned Big League champions.
The 17-times UPL winners are yet to officially unveil the player, but he has already started work at the club.
Onekalit was listed as a SC Villa substitute, and came on in the second half as the Jogoos fell 2-1 to the Uganda Cranes Select Team in the ongoing FUFA Super 8 tournament.
In the game played at KCCA’s Lugogo stadium, Isaac Ogwang and Godfrey Sekibengo scored for the National Select Team, while Arnold Odongo scored for Villa.
The two sides will face off again on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the MTN Omondi Stadium for the second leg of Round One.
